Why This Happens
This isn't a bug in Claude — it's a fundamental limitation of how large language models work.
LLMs are text models
Claude processes and generates text. It doesn't have a database of images to draw from, and it can't "see" or retrieve visual assets.
It can't browse the web in real time
Unlike a browser, Claude can't visit a company's website, find their logo page, and download an image file.
Image URLs are hallucinated
When Claude tries to produce a logo URL, it generates something plausible-looking that doesn't actually exist. The link is broken.
Even if it finds something, quality and rights are uncertain
A random image from the web might be low-res, outdated, or the wrong variant. There's no guarantee it's the official logo.
